Effie Politis, MD, FACS

Effie Politis, MD, FACS, brings both skill and a personalized approach to the care of her plastic surgery patients. She is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and The Aesthetic Society, as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Politis specializes in comprehensive face and body aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, as well as minimally invasive facial rejuvenation. A graduate of the University of Florida College of Medicine, Dr. Politis trained under some of the country’s leading and most innovative experts in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery. Following graduation from medical school, she attended one of the few fully integrated plastic surgery training programs in the country, studying under Dr. David J. Smith, previous Chair and former Director of the prestigious American Board Plastic Surgery. Dr. Politis served on faculty as an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida Department of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery where she contributed to furthering resident education and training.

Having a long-standing love for and training in the arts and sciences, Dr. Politis has blended her two passions into a boutique plastic surgery practice that provides the very best in care and patient experience. She specializes in all areas of surgical enhancements, such as breast augmentation, body contouring and complete facial rejuvenation, including the very latest nonsurgical advancements with injectables and minimally invasive modalities. Her philosophy is to use the most advanced and innovative surgical techniques and refinements to achieve youthful, natural-looking results without obvious signs of surgery.

The mission of Politis Plastic Surgery is to provide comprehensive, patient focused breast and body care. Dr. Politis is also committed to helping patients recover from breast cancer by collaborating with surgical and medical oncologists to deliver a tailored treatment plan that takes into account a patient’s goals and desires.

Dr. Politis is married to her college sweetheart. They have three boys who keep very active with swimming, hockey, soccer, and triathlons. She enjoys training along side her boys and with her husband. Dr. Politis believes a healthy and active lifestyle ultimately leads to a healthy mind and body and is the real Fountain of Youth.
